Most of you already know Willie Taylor from being a member of singing group DAY26, but Willie has recently been making a name of his own. He is a singer from Harvey, IL and has been singing since an early age. Willie says “I been singing for as long as i can remember, It all started with just singing what i heard on the radio and at that age I thought everybody could sing, I didn’t think It was Special until everybody started making a big deal about it.” As Willie got older and started making his way into the music industry with his amazing voice, he got a huge break when he was chosen by Diddy to become a member of DAY26.
Now aside from DAY26, Willie has been recently doing his own thing as a solo artist. He came out with his own mixtape not too long ago called “Sextape” which can be found on many music download sites. Most recently, Willie dropped a song that has been getting a lot of attention called “Instagram Ya Body” which features R&B singer Jeremih. Willie is currently working on a new project which will be dropping in September called “The ReIntroduction Of Willie Taylor”. Most of us are wondering when he will drop an album but with the mixtape dropping next month he says “…this is So much More then a Mixtape!!!! Its like Im Giving away my First Solo Album!” So I’m sure we can expect nothing but his best from the mixtape he will be dropping in September.
As we all know getting and staying in the music industry is hard. Willie has been giving his all and putting out his best work to stay in the music industry to give the world great music to listen to! From his own experience, Willie’s advice to those wanting to get into the music industry is “Keep God 1st, Believe in yourself, Be Your Biggest fan, always give 100% and Do You!!!!!”. With advice like that no wonder he has been doing great in his career! We aren’t done hearing or seeing things from Willie, so definitely keep your eye on him!

K.Larie: Do you write your own songs? Is there a certain environment you like to be in while recording/writing?
Willie T: Yes, I right ALL my own Music, Some I wrote all and Others I co Wrote, Well I have my own recording studio where I have made it my writing/Recording Cave!! I kind of set my mood right there!!!!
K.Larie: Who is one person you would most like to do a collab with and why?
Willie T: R. Kelly , Because I know It would be an Amazing record, He’s the King of R&B
K.Larie: What are some accomplishments that you have achieved and most proud of since you’ve been singing?
Willie T: Off Back, The 2 Billborad #1 Albums , the BET Award for Best Group (DAY26), all the Award Nominations, The Street I grew up on in Harvey,IL being Renamed to “Willie Taylor Ave” and the list goes on
K.Larie: How do you balance your music with other obligations – mate, children, ect?
Willie T: I just have to balance them right and give everything its Time!!!!
K.Larie: What would you like your fans to know about your music?
Willie T: It all comes from the Heart and It’s Always Creative!!! I Really just want them to enjoy the ride because it’s Showtime!!!!!!!
