The RED Scarlet-X camera boasts innate ability to capture 5K REDCODE RAW still and 4K motion, as well as the ability to use 3rd party lenses in an ever evolving world of camera lenses and technology. Canon unveiled its C300 cinema camera at Hollywood’s Paramount Studios, in front of a crowd of hundreds of journalists and film industry elite, including Martin Scorsese. The Canon C300 delivers stunning quality despite its stock offerings which include, an EF or PL mount (not both), 1080p capture, a pair of CF card slots, timecode and HD-SDI output. Even though designer Tapani Jokinen states that the Kinetic Device will likely not see production soon it does, indeed, represent the tip of the innovation iceberg from the Scandinavian mobile company. The Nokia “Kinetic Device” lacks keys or buttons in favor of a thin flat OLED screen, which executes commands when the body of the device is flexed. Experimental carbon nanotubes within the device allow it to be twisted and warped to scroll through photo albums or stop and play music.
